"We are a military family that chose Emmanuel Day School before arriving in Newport based on a friend's recommendation and the school's impressive web site. Of the three great preschools we have experienced with our children, none has sparkled so brightly with the magic of childhood as EDS. We are thrilled that our 4-year-old has the chance to experience such a warm, exciting environment. This is a school that truly inspires both children and adults with the joys of learning and exploring our big world. We were fortunate enough to arrive in Newport in the summer, and our 8, 6, and 4-year-old all participated in one of the summer camps, which was a big hit with them and us. We will strongly recommend this preschool to fellow military families bound for Newport!"

"All I can say is we were WOWed by the pictures from the Easter play [Easter Preparations at EDS: March 20, 2008]. It was great to be able to share them with our families too.
They were all very impressed with the play. [My son] was really impressed by his role as Jesus as well, and told us all about the events leading up to Easter. This is something I think he'll always remember, I know we will.

“I look forward to picking up my daughter every school day in
order to see what she has learned and experienced at the Emmanuel
Day School. As an engineer, I love to see a fully stocked science
room - complete with beakers and test tubes. As someone who has a
passion for travel, I am thrilled to see my daughter with her very
own passport with which to record her “visits” to so many
different countries. As an avid reader, I am amazed to see her talking
about story webs and sequencing and already writing her letters after
just two months at the school. What other preschool program would
send a three year old home talking about the Colosseum in Rome, haikus,
equinoxes and her latest yoga moves all in the same day!
Most importantly, as a parent of a child who is so young and just
starting out on her educational adventure, the thing I value the most
is how loved and nurtured she is by the entire remarkable staff at
the Emmanuel Day School and how much FUN she is having along the way!”

had at the Emmanuel Day School. The teachers are professional and
caring, the curriculum is varied and creative, and the opportunity
for exposure to French, violin lessons, yoga and photography at the
preschool level is unmatched at any other school that I have encountered.
Most importantly, my son loves coming to school each day in an environment
where he feels challenged to do his best work, and feels nurtured
by the caring adults who are his teachers. I have also been so impressed
with the ongoing attention that is paid to character development and
values which are incorporated throughout the curriculum.
